We are seeking an experienced senior professional to join our audit team as a Director of Audit.

About the Role

As a Director of Audit, you will play a key role in driving growth and expansion within our firm. This is a fantastic opportunity for ambitious professionals to take on new challenges and responsibilities, working closely with clients across various sectors.

Main Responsibilities
  • You will identify client needs and opportunities for business growth, developing strategic plans to drive success.
  • Your expertise in project management will be essential in overseeing large and varied portfolios of clients, ensuring seamless delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • You will provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation throughout the audit process.
  • With strong communication skills, you will prepare and present business tenders to develop and grow your client portfolio, securing new business opportunities.
  • You will be responsible for managing and reviewing the work of the audit team, ensuring that all projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Professional qualification in accounting (ACA or ACCA) is essential.
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of portfolio and management experience.
  • Substantial experience in the asset management audit sector, particularly in funds and SPVs, would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong technical skills, including Irish GAAP, auditing standards, and IFRS, are required.
  • Electronic auditing experience and the ability to motivate and manage staff under tight deadlines are crucial.
