Role Overview

The Maintenance Assistant position involves maintaining a high-standard environment, ensuring all hard surfaces are clean and debris-free. This includes reporting to the Line Manager at the start of each shift to review prioritised repairs and ongoing general maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain an environment to the highest standard by repairing furniture, painting, hanging pictures, etc.
  • Inspect all hard surfaces on the front and back of the building and sweep up debris, ensuring main entrances are free of leaves, etc.
  • Maintain bins and bin compounds in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Carry out scheduled weekly, monthly & quarterly Compliance checks.
  • Perform Reactive Maintenance in a timely & safe manner, prioritising tasks to ensure a safe environment for residents & staff.
  • Ensure all equipment is used correctly and safely, according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Maintain hedges, gardens, flower beds, ashtray bins, and general upkeep of the car park.
  • Comply with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations in daily operations.
  • Maintain training updates in Health & Safety and specialist Electrical Management, ensuring regular updates.
Requirements:
  • Hold a Full driving licence and have access to own car for travelling as required.
  • Prior experience in a similar Maintenance role with hands-on experience.
  • Able to work set hours, flexible to meet the needs of the organisation.
  • Eligible to work and live in the UK.
