We are seeking a seasoned procurement expert to join our team as a Senior Buyer.

About the Role:

As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that drive cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and value creation. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Procurement: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Supplier & Contract Management: Build strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate favourable terms, manage contracts, and evaluate supplier performance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Maintain positive relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Cost & Risk Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities, manage budgets, and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Market & Performance Analysis: Monitor market trends, assess supplier and employee performance, and implement improvements.
  • Inventory & Delivery Oversight: Track inventory, review supplier deliveries, resolve missed deliveries, and support warehouse booking and stock accuracy.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure procurement activities adhere to company policies and regulations.
  • Operational & Marketing Support: Assist with ad hoc tasks, promotional materials, and supplier-related marketing activities.

You Will Need:

  • Third level qualification in a related field.
  • 2+ years' experience in the FMCG sector, ideally in the food service industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement principles and practices.
  • Leadership qualities with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • A developed knowledge of supply chain and logistics would be advantageous.
