The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Cost Management professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the successful delivery of public sector projects ensuring they meet their objectives within budget and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create comprehensive cost forecasts and budgets for public sector initiatives.
  • Analyse costs feasibility study risks and identify potential areas for improvement.
  • Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Develop review and manage tender documents and contracts.
  • Collaborate with clients contractors and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and project delivery.
  • Provide strategic guidance on procurement strategy and contractual matters.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Present regular reports on project progress and financial performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A degree in a relevant field such as Quantity Surveying or Business Administration.
  • Professional membership with RICS or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in cost management preferably within the public sector.
  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously meeting tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools such as MS Excel and industry-standard estimation packages.
