Director of Financial Management

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Director of Financial Projects. As a key member of the Finance Team, you will play a vital role in supporting the strategic operation of the Finance Unit and driving key organisational deliverables.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, treasury, payroll, and ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to public sector standards.
- Supervise day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, treasury, payroll, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to public sector standards.
- Oversee payroll (Bright Pay), Pension administrator and review all Revenue Online Returns (ROS).
- Assess and enhance the effectiveness of financial controls, identifying financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in preparation of annual financial statements, tax reporting and collaboration with internal and external auditors. They must also have a proven track record in corporate governance, internal audit, and risk management, ideally gained within the public sector or a similarly regulated, high-accountability environment.
In addition to their technical skills, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative.
