Job Description:

We are seeking a senior finance professional to join our team as a Director of Financial Projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, treasury, and payroll.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to public sector standards
  • Oversight of payroll, pension administration, and Revenue Online Returns (ROS)
  • Assess and enhance financial controls, identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies
  • Support preparation of annual statutory accounts, financial statements, and forecast analyses
  • Lead creation and updating of accounting policies and procedures
Requirements:Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
  • Strong experience in financial statement preparation, tax reporting, and collaboration with internal and external auditors
  • Implementing changes in existing financial systems, ensuring management accounting requirements are supported
  • Proven track record in corporate governance, internal audit, and risk management, preferably in a public sector or regulated environment
  • Experience in digital transformation and ICT systems enhancement
  • A relevant third-level qualification and at least 5 years' experience in finance, with specific experience in Sage/Oracle NetSuite FMS
