Key Roles and Responsibilities of a Moulding Engineer

As a Moulding Engineer, you will be responsible for partnering with the quality team to ensure that product attributes and performance meet all specifications.

">

This involves ensuring the day-to-day maintenance activity is performed to maintain manufacturing equipment. You will liaise with Production to maximise equipment performance and be responsible for maintaining records and documentation on relevant Engineering procedures and preventative/demand maintenance.

A key aspect of this role is technical design making and project planning for new mould tools and processes. You will integrate new Injection Mould tooling and equipment into manufacturing processes and provide technical oversight on existing lines, investigation yields and quality trends.

You will prepare appropriate CAPA plans and implement them within agreed timelines. Additionally, you will lead projects against agreed project milestones and partner with Marketing and Business Development, Customers, Suppliers, Vendors and Internal Cross-Functional teams as required.

To be successful in this role, you will require a relevant technical qualification in engineering/science/moulding. A degree level qualification is preferable, along with relevant experience. Demonstrated knowledge of moulding, extrusion and/or polymer processes and technologies is essential.

Strong analytical problem-solving skills are required, with statistics knowledge/experience being advantageous. Previous project/process management, product technology transfer/NPI and validation experience is desirable. Results-driven individuals with proven ability to prioritise work and deliver projects on time and within budget are ideal candidates for this role.
