We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Finance Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a Not-for-Profit organization in Dublin 1, Ireland.

Job Description

The Finance Officer will be responsible for assisting the management of the creditors ledger, ensuring accurate recording of expenditure against cost headings and programme budgets. The post holder will also support the managing of the debtors ledger, entering income received – fundraising and rental income. Additionally, the Finance Officer will prepare returns to Revenue for review by the Accountant/Head of Finance, including VAT, RCT and Charity Claims.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the preparation and managing of the organization's RCT and VAT on Capital Projects.
  • Support the management of the creditors Ledger, ensuring accurate recording of expenditure against cost headings and Programme Budgets.
  • Support the managing of the debtors Ledger, ensuring entering of income received – fundraising and rental income.
  • Prepare Returns to Revenue for review by the Accountant/Head of Finance.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Part qualified Accountant or Accounting Technician.
  • EU Passport/Stamp 4 Visa.
  • A relevant business degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in Accounting Software and Excel.
  • Strong Financial Controls ethos.
