This fixed-term maternity cover position will be responsible for leveraging retail and food sector expertise to guide food producers on product development, pricing strategies, and market positioning.

  • Leverage your knowledge of the retail and food sectors to provide strategic advice to clients on securing retail listings and optimising product profitability.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of products, margins, and revenue streams to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver workshops on New Product Development (NPD), focusing on benchmarking, brand positioning, and presenting to buyers.
  • Use market data and insights to develop promotional and pricing strategies tailored to client needs.
The Ideal Candidate:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of five years' experience in the food industry and retail sector, ideally in roles such as buying, category management, or commercial strategy.
  • A Master's Degree in a food business or agribusiness related discipline.
  • Proven commercial acumen with a strong ability to drive business growth.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to analyse market trends and data to inform decision-making.
