Automation Engineering Associate Manager

About the Role:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineering Associate Manager to lead our dynamic team of engineers and technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a strong focus on automation, digital transformation, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership & Team Development
    • The ideal candidate will provide guidance, coaching, and structured development opportunities to staff; foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Recruit top talent with a strong focus on automation and digital skillsets.
    • Motivate individuals and teams to achieve ambitious goals in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  2. Strategic & Technical Execution
    • Partner with senior management to establish departmental goals, budgets, and resource plans aligned to business priorities.
    • Lead and support manufacturing engineering projects with a focus on automation, smart manufacturing, and process optimization.
    • Prioritize and manage multiple projects to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of results.
  3. Automation & Innovation
    • Champion the adoption of advanced automation technologies (PLC, SCADA, robotics, IIoT, Industry 4.0) to improve efficiency, safety, and quality.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to implement automation solutions, resolve complex technical issues, and enable digital manufacturing capabilities.
    • Partner with vendors and external stakeholders to assess and deploy new automation technologies.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Represent Manufacturing Engineering on cross-functional teams, including new product development and strategic initiatives.
    • BUILD AND STRENGTHEN COLLABORATIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH OPERATIONS, QUALITY, IT/OT, AND GLOBAL ENGINEERING GROUPS.
  5. Compliance & Standards
    • Ensure policies, procedures, and quality system requirements are adhered to at all times.
    • Promote a safe and compliant work environment aligned to EHS and Energy policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in automation engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
