We are seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of a Social Care Worker. This position plays a vital part in providing individualised care to young people referred to our service. The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience required to help these individuals grow, develop new skills, and overcome challenges.
Main Responsibilities:- The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans and Placement Plans that cater to the specific needs of each individual.
- They will also support young people with educational activities both at home and in school, promoting their academic and personal growth.
- An essential aspect of this role is delivering responsive residential care aligned with the Odyssey Model, ensuring that each individual receives the highest level of care and support.
- The successful candidate must maintain accurate daily records and effectively communicate with parents, professionals, and referral agents.
- They will participate in team meetings, training, and service development, contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.
- The role also involves managing petty cash, assisting with domestic routines, and creating a homely environment that promotes well-being.
- In addition, they must uphold safeguarding protocols, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to company policies at all times.
- A minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a relevant field is required, along with registration as a Social Care Worker with CORU.
- Familiarity with the Irish National Standards in Children's Residential Centres is essential.
- Experience working with teenagers exhibiting challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
- A full, clean manual driving license valid in Ireland is also necessary.
