Principal Environmental Consultant

We are currently seeking a senior ecologist on a permanent contract to deliver an effective and professional service to a wide range of clients.
About the Role:- As a senior ecologist, you will work as part of a team of 35 ecologists to deliver high-quality ecological services to clients.
- Key responsibilities include preparation of clear and concise reports, advising on restoration/enhancement of habitats, biodiversity design and integration of green infrastructure design and other nature-based solutions.
- You will also be responsible for field survey work, such as Phase 1 Habitat/UKHab surveys and protected species surveys, data exploration of survey results, and managing GIS outputs.
Due to the nature of our work, you will have the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills throughout your employment.

A full driving licence is essential.
Requirements:- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant subject, such as Ecology, Zoology, Geography or Biology (or equivalent), and a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, such as an MSc in Ecological Consultancy, is advantageous.
- Knowledge with protected species survey licence(s) and membership of CIEEM, or equivalent professional body and seeking to work towards Chartership.
- Post qualification knowledge, most of which will have been gained within a planning or environmental/ecological consultancy area.
- Knowledge of having worked in the consulting industry previously, with a broad range of ecological appreciation.
