Job Title: EHS Advisor

A pharmaceutical construction project in Waterford requires an experienced EHS Advisor to ensure overall compliance with Environmental Health & Safety policies and relevant statutory provisions.

The ideal candidate will lead by example, serving as a role model, and mobilising the team to adopt the highest standards of Health & Safety on-site.

  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to guarantee statutory requirements are met.
  • Provide guidance and instruction on safety-related topics (noise levels, machinery use etc.).
  • Assist Site Management in drafting Method Statements.
  • Review existing policies and measures, updating them according to legislation.
  • Inspect premises and personnel work to identify issues or non-conformity.
  • Report incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing changes.
  • Review subcontractor Safety Statements and Compliance.
  • Review Safe Work Plans for tasks on site.
  • Manage Health & Safety paperwork on-site.
  • Manage PPE for on-site employees.
  • Deliver Health & Safety induction programmes and Toolbox Talks.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 7 qualification in Health and Safety required.
  • 1 year experience in an on-site Safety position preferred.
  • Construction experience necessary.
  • Chemical waste experience beneficial.
  • Safe Pass and Manual Handling required.
  • Ability to work independently and be innovative.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Multiple task management and prioritisation ability.
  • Licence to live and work in Ireland required.

Benefits: This is a short-term contract role of 3 months, with potential for extension.
