Job Title: Corporate Governance and Compliance Specialist

This is an excellent opportunity to join a top-tier law firm as a corporate governance and compliance specialist. The role will involve working closely with the General Counsel and Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs to develop and implement risk management strategies.

The successful candidate will have experience in compliance, regulation, and commercial contracts, with knowledge of data protection law. They will also have a methodical and process-driven approach to audits and reviews, excellent communication skills, and be client-focused, responsive, and accustomed to working in a dynamic, high-performing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and drafting commercial contracts with suppliers;
  • Advising on data protection law and contractual terms with suppliers and clients;
  • Responding to client questionnaires and audits related to policies and procedures;
  • Developing and maintaining policies and professional standards, including staff training and implementing best practices across the firm;
  • Collaborating with other departments to provide coordinated services to colleagues and clients;
  • Conducting planned and random file audits to ensure compliance with policies, standards, and regulations;
  • Reporting audit findings and advising the Risk and Professional Standards team on improvements;
  • Assisting in updating and managing the firm's Risk Register.

Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer with experience in compliance, regulation, and commercial contracts, with knowledge of data protection law;
  • Understanding of compliance and regulatory issues;
  • Methodical and process-driven approach to audits and reviews;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Client-focused, responsive, and accustomed to working in a dynamic, high-performing environment.
