Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to lead our team in delivering major structural projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in managing complex engineering projects.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of structural projects, as well as providing technical guidance and support to project teams. They will also be expected to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other project team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of major structural projects, ensuring timely completion, high-quality results, and client satisfaction.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, including design, development, and testing.
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, as well as monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architecture, civil engineering, and construction management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure project quality and safety.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams, both verbally and in writing.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
- At least 10 years of postgraduate experience in engineering consultancy, preferably in a leadership or management role.
- Chartered Status with Engineers Ireland/IStructE or equivalent.
- Excellent understanding of engineering principles, including structural analysis, design, and construction methods.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in structural design software and tools.
- Leadership skills, including strategic planning, team management, and conflict resolution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
