Structural Design Leadrequired to join medium sized Irish Engineering Consultancy. This consultancy is one of the leading partners on the Irish Water Framework. With offices in Dublin City Centre, Galway, Cork and Mayo, there is flexibility in location. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the technical and commercial oversight of their growing structures division, which provides input to a wide range of infrastructure projects. Sample of Projects: €100m Drainage Area Plan €20m New Wastewater Treatment Plant €17m Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade €15m Water Infrastructure upgrade Role: Drive the operational and commercial performance of the structural team, with regular updates to senior leadership. Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, supporting their technical development. Ensure high-quality design deliverables across all projects. Coordinate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and external consultants. Manage team resources, delegate tasks, and track project budgets. Collaborate with other sectors and disciplines across the business on multi-disciplinary projects. Support recruitment efforts as the team continues to grow. Build and maintain strong client relationships. Contribute to business development, including tenders and bid submissions. Candidate Requirements: Relevant third level degree in engineering (Level 8 or higher). Chartered Engineer status, or equivalent. At least 15 years experience in structural engineering, with a strong technical background. Strong commercial awareness. Must be able to work well under pressure and have a proven track record of meeting deliverable deadlines to client satisfaction. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Have an ability to lead, manage and coach a growing team. Possess excellent professional/technical knowledge and skills.
