Data Centre Structural Design Lead

This position requires a professional to lead structural design and coordination for data centre projects. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with local building regulations, Eurocodes, and client standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement structural design solutions for data centre projects from concept through to completion.
- Prepare calculations, reports, and detailed design documentation for steel and reinforced concrete structures.
- Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, project managers, and contractors to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Conduct structural analysis and modelling using industry-standard software (e.g., Tekla, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, Robot).
- Oversee site inspections and provide technical support during construction phases.
- Drive value engineering initiatives and sustainability-focused design optimisations.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practices within the team.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with Engineers Ireland or equivalent, or actively working towards chartership.
- 5+ years of post-graduate experience in structural design, with at least 2 years on mission-critical or large-scale industrial projects (data centre experience highly desirable).
- Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, Irish building regulations, and international design standards.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software, and excellent AutoCAD/Revit skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
