The ideal candidate will be part of highly experienced teams supporting the growth and development of talented engineers. Responsibilities include designing structures, preparing and reviewing structural analysis and design calculations, drawing preparation for conceptual and detailed design, as well as regular site visits ensuring construction adheres to design specifications.
- Key Roles:
- Liaise with project teams, design teams, and contractors.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Perform site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to specifications.
- Understand commercial implications of design decisions and strive for efficient solutions.
- Have IT skills and experience using MS Office.
- Clear communication through sketching, speaking, and writing.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills, with the ability to balance tasks and prioritise to meet deadlines.
- Requirements:
- Strong analytical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles.
- Demonstrable buildings-focused structural engineering design skills.
- A desire to work constructively within a team environment, finding holistic building design solutions.
- Desired Qualifications:
- At least 3-6 years structural engineering experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum Level 8 Civil/Structural Engineering Degree (Hons) and working towards Chartered status with Engineers Ireland.
- Customer-focused with growing client relationship management skills.
- Ability to mentor junior staff in developing technical expertise.
- Display leadership qualities and desire to develop client relationships.
- Current driver's license desirable.
