A highly skilled Pharmacist is required to join a dedicated team in a specialized hospital unit.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Hospital Pharmacist to work in our Aseptic Compounding Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and quality assurance of aseptically prepared products, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and relevant regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a high-standard Aseptic Compounding Unit.
- Participate in the preparation and quality assurance of aseptically prepared products.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and relevant regulatory standards.
- Contribute to the safe and effective use of chemotherapy and other aseptically prepared medications.
- Provide clinical input and support for oncology and haematology services.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Prior experience in hospital pharmacy, ideally within cancer services.
- Hands-on experience in an Aseptic Compounding Unit is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- A commitment to high-quality patient care and safety.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have:
- Registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
- Minimum of three years' post-registration hospital pharmacy experience preferred; candidates with less experience may be considered if they have significant relevant expertise in cancer services or aseptic compounding units (ACU).
