Job Title: Director With Legal Experience

This is an exciting opportunity to join our governing body as a Director with legal experience. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of our organization and ensuring that we comply with all relevant regulations.

The day-to-day operations of our company are managed by a skilled team of staff members, while our board of directors oversees the overall strategy and direction. Your expertise in housing, property law, employment law, and company law will be invaluable in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with our governing document
  • Guarantee that we operate within our charitable purpose for public benefit
  • Act in the best interests of the organization
  • Exercise reasonable care and skill in all aspects of your role
  • Manage our assets effectively
  • Contribute to our strategic direction with valuable insight and experience
  • Assist with legal aspects and best practices

Qualifications:

  • You must be a qualified solicitor or barrister with at least five years of experience
  • Prior experience in housing, property law, employment law, and company law would be highly beneficial

Meetings:

  • Four board meetings per annum, with additional meetings as required
