Located in Mackay, Queensland, the Mackay Hospital and Health Service is seeking a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to join the dynamic team at the Mackay Mental Health and Alcohol & Other Drugs Service.

About Us:

Our service comprises an acute mental health inpatient facility with 24 beds and a Step-Up Step-Down Unit with 6 beds. We offer a wide range of Community Mental Health Services, including Acute Care, Consultation Liaison Psychiatry, Continuing Care, Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation, Early Psychosis, Child and Youth Mental Health, Older Persons Mental Health, and Alcohol & Other Drugs Service. Our rural communities benefit from outreaching community teams in the Moranbah and Whitsunday areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment to patients across various settings.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of mental health services in the region.

Salary Information:

Total remuneration value of up to $470,780 (L24) or up to $514,452 (L27), depending on experience and qualifications.
Includes a generous salary range between $204,206 - $258,910 (L18-L27).
Additional benefits such as employer superannuation contribution, leave loading, salary sacrificing, professional development opportunities, motor vehicle allowance, and more.
