Senior Finance Manager

Pieta is seeking to recruit a Senior Finance Manager reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.

Role and Responsibilities:

Pieta is seeking to recruit a Senior Finance Manager reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. This is a key position in the finance team of Pieta and will collaborate closely with the Executive Management Team and manager level peers across the organisation. Duties will include, but not limited to, the management and preparation of annual financial statements, management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, technical accounting, regulatory financial compliance reporting plus internal and external stakeholder reporting requirements. The role will involve management and leadership of members of the finance team and will provide significant input and support across the department and to the Chief Financial Officer. Being able to work on own initiative, manage a hybrid team and be self-directed and organised are requirements of the role. A strong focus on the internal compliance, control and governance environment is also required. 

Below outlines the key duties and responsibilities of this position

Statutory accounts preparation and complianceMonthly management accounts preparation and analysisOverall general ledger managementManage all technical accounting mattersKey point of contact for audit management (external & internal)Key lead in the budgeting and forecasting processKey lead in presenting, developing and preparing all departmental reportingResponsible for Financial Regulatory Compliance reportingTax complianceWork with EMT, key internal and external stakeholders on financial analysis and reportingAttendances & presentation at sub committeesPresentations to EMT, other managers and staff on key accounting and financial mattersManagement and development of Policies & ProceduresRequired to lead, manage and mentor direct reportsLead finance accounting & reporting projects, as requiredCross cover for Finance ManagerContribute to continuous improvement in the department

Education, Skills, and Experience required:

Fully Qualified Accountant with professional accountancy bodyMinimum 5 years PQE working in finance function in a senior positionExperience in the Not-for-Profit sector desirableAbility to plan, organise, and prioritise workload and to meet deadlines on timeStrong analytical and reporting experienceSuccessful track record of introducing and implementing process improvements.Excellent leadership and people managementExcellent communication and presentation skillsExcellent relationship skills for internal and external collaboration and stakeholder managementAdvanced IT skills and working knowledge of MS Office and reportingStrong attention to detailSelf-motivated with the ability to take initiative with a strong team and collaborative mindset
