Civil Design Engineer - Roads/Drainage/Water/Flood Projects - Galway CityOffice/Project Location: Galway CityEmployment Type: PermanentWork Location:  Office Based / HybridPay: Competitive and negotiable depending on experience €40,000 - €50,000Experience: 3+ yearsVisa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa requiredOur client is Ireland's leading civil & structural engineering consultancy.As a civil engineer you will be working closely with senior staff on the design of drainage, water and roads networks, flood assessment and mitigation measures and traffic assessments. Your work will be carried out in accordance with the company ISO procedures.A solid understanding of the engineering principles behind drainage, water, roads and traffic system design.IT skills – including MS Word, Excel, basic AutoCAD skills + company design software packages including Linsig, Causeway Flow, TRICs, Tuflow, HEC-RAS, EPANet.Familiarity with DMURS.Experience in compiling engineering planning documentation.Experience of producing Flood Risk Assessments.Experience in the preparation of Traffic & Transportation Assessments and Mobility Management Plans.The ability to identify and apply appropriate scientific methods to solve engineering problems plus knowledge of the limitations of established best practice as defined by Standards and CodesStrong communication skills both oral and writtenUnderstanding of the Irish regulatory and policy issuesAppreciation of the full Project Delivery Process including GCCC ContractsKnowledge of costing and options appraisalCommitment to CPD and competence, working towards chartership.A proactive approach with an ability to adapt to changing scenarios.RequirementsHonours degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.Minimum of 3 years experience in a design office environment.PackageCompetitive and negotiable depending on experience €40,000 - €50,000Annual profitability / performance related bonus schemeAnnual Salary reviewLife InsurancePension SchemeOne-to-one mentoring systemFlexi-timeAn active Sports and Social ClubTraining and Continued Professional Development (CPD) which is accredited by Engineers IrelandGenerous Annual Leave AllowanceFamily-Friendly Working PoliciesFull access to our Bank at Work ServiceBike-To-Work SchemeStaff wellness events (eg.
