Our Community Partners are an incredibly innovative and diverse network, with limited time and resources. The role of the Community Specialist within the Community Development Team, reports to the Foodiverse Community Coordinator and plays a key role in building and supporting a strong network of CVOs signing up to FoodCloud and collecting food via our Foodiverse App and FoodCloud Hubs.Support the advancement the overall Community Engagement Plan 2026-30Source, engage and recruit new community partnersProvide an excellent customer experience and support external engagement that enables the community sector to maximize the benefit from FoodcloudIncrease the voice and presence of our community partner network across all internal and external communicationsSupport trials and implementation plans for regional or localised support programmes that improve community partner - donor relationshipsFood Programme engagementLiaise with Food Safety Officer to ensure CVOs meet food safety requirementsMatching CVOs to the most appropriate surplus food programmes (Foodiverse or Hubs)Handover suitable CVOs to the Membership & Engagement Coordinator for Hubs optionScheduling CVOs for Foodiverse donations and supporting new CVOs to set up the Foodiverse App for receiving donation notificationsProvide an excellent customer experience and place engagement calls where necessary to CVOs to enable them to maximize the benefit from the FoodCloud serviceFoodiverse Schedule Coordination in Salesforce;Coordinating and reporting on all CVO onboarding, new opportunities and programme exitsMonitor each new CVO partnership until there is a successful first scheduled donation/collection or until they have had a number of failed collections in a rowManage and ensure smooth handover of CVOs to the Support Team for day to day supportOther DutiesAs needed, work with other teams to progress projects that make our Foodiverse App and Hubs offerings more accessible, and to improve the consistency, variety and volume of surplus food available, to better meet community partners’ needsUse our CRM to:Record and gather up to date information on community partners to support impact reportingTrack and complete cases and follow-up tasksAdditional duties as required per business needs including coverage for other teams in the Customer Experience Department as neededKey Skills: 2+years’ experience in a customer service or sales roleCommunication skills;Excellent telephone manner, and written/oral communication skillsComfort and confidence with presentation and public speakingComfortable with Microsoft Excel and Word or Google SuiteProactive approach to dealing with queriesStrong attention to detail and focus on quality work and customer interactionPrevious experience with CRM and similar software systems a plusBenefits Overview:The role will be based in our Dublin Hub and we can also offer flexible working arrangements, such as working from home, in line with role requirementsWe are very proud of our culture, and our vision, mission and values which you can read more about on our and on social media channelsWe are dedicated to supporting all colleagues in their development with a breadth of training, mentoring and experiences available.
