You will be responsible for providing technical support to the business, engaging with them to understand requirements, project effort estimation, converting requirements into an architecture and design that will be the blueprint for the solution being created and supporting architects in their detailed designs while ensuringernance, standards and processes are adhered to.

What You'll Do
You will work with all stakeholders throughout the Product Development Life Cycle including engineering teams, enterprise architecture, agile delivery, product managers, project management and senior management. These stakeholders will be spread across the world including in North America, Europe, India, Asia-Pacific You will provide guidance on the future evolution of the platform to meet business and technical requirements Defining the overall technical vision of solutions and work collaboratively with other architects to bring designs to fruition taking on board their experience and knowledge Promote the IT vision within Product Management and the wider organisation Ensureernance processes are adhered to and progressed as appropriate Take a senior role in the team including guiding and mentoring members of the team Who You Are
Bachelor's Degree required inputer Science or Engineering 12+ years of experience in software including 7+ years designing software solutions Proficiency in RESTful APIs, modern software cloud architecture and hands on experience with specific technologies including API gateways, Java, C#, microservices, data stores/data bases and at least one cloud provider Excellentmunication skills and interpersonal skills including the ability to influence decision makers Experienced in working collaboratively with technical and non-technical colleagues to bring projects topletion Able to go beyond the requirements provided to understand the business need and thereby provide solutions which meet the current needs and are flexible Independent worker who can take direction and provide a solution Nice to Have
Experience with Apigee, Java, C#, Google Cloud Platform and/or Azure, Databases, Docker/Kubernetes and Atlassian tools Knowledge of modern development best practices including CI/CD, microservices and REST APIs Experience working in an Agile environment with multiple development teams Experience and knowledge of the payments / merchant-acquiring industry Excellent analytical, problem-solving, prioritisation, decision making and relationship-building skills Global Payments Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
