My client is a respected engineering one stop subcontractor of fabricated weld assemblies, treated assemblies, machined components and assemblies supplied primarily to OEMs, who are currently recruiting for a General Manager. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and production of the Factory based in Co.Cavan. This is a senior position requiring strong operations, engineering and leadership skills.Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily business operations, drive strategic initiatives and ensure overall business successDevelop and implement business strategies to support growth and business excellenceLead the operations, engineering/quality, procurement and administration functionsManage the operations department to highest standards to satisfy customer expectation and on-time deliveryEnsure optimum performance of HR, hiring and training processesBuild relationships with key customers in diverse marketsSet objectives and improve systems and proceduresIn association with finance, manage budgets and assist in design of improvements to optimise financial performance and operational effectiveness and efficiencyWork in close collaboration with the sales/account management functions and the customer to delivery total customer satisfaction Build, develop and lead a management team and staff capable of carrying out organisational objectives to the highest standardsAssume responsibility for health and safety standards throughout the organisationMaintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for new businessDevelop, promote and implement on-going continuous improvement initiativesQualifications and Experience: Proven experience at a management level within manufacturing and engineeringIn-depth knowledge of machining and fabrication or related production processes desirableRelevant third level qualification desirableExcellent leadership skills including goal setting, motivating, training and mentorshipPerformance focused with strong budgeting and reporting capabilities
