Your new company A well-established multinational with their finance office in Dublin City are expanding their team due to growth and are looking for a VAT Specialist to join the team. Based in modern offices in the centre of Dublin, they offer excellent flexibility on hours and hybrid working.A repeat client for us - previous candidates placed here cite the great company culture and great opportunities to learn.Your new role You will report directly to the Head of Tax and join a tax team of 3 overall. Your role will revolve around global VAT compliance and duties include: Supporting the tax team on VAT matters and ensuring full compliance with all applicable VAT filings VAT compliance for global locations with a focus on the EU and Spain Preparation of VAT returns and reconciliations Prepare Intrastat reporting and other indirect tax filings as required per jurisdiction Maintenance of VAT controls Prepares VAT reconciliations Ensuring claims are submitted in a timely manner to minimise cashflow impact for the business Ad-hoc support on other tax heads where required Assist with e-invoicing procedures Assist with VAT tax audits and manage all queries and information requests What you'll need to succeed The VAT Specialist will ideally be fully qualified - CTA, ACCA, ACA, however part-qualified candidates will be consideredExperience with global and EU VAT compliance required, ideally in industry but practice candidates will also be consideredExperience with Spanish Intrastat highly desirableStrong Excell skills requiredIdeally you will have a European passport as there may be infrequent travel, but not an essential requirementWhat you'll get in return You will be rewarded with a salary of €55,000 plus benefits to include discretionary bonus, pension 5% matched, life assurance, healthcare, wellness allowance, 23 days AL and your birthday off. The company have a fun, social and energetic company culture. They operate a hybrid model 3 days in office and 2 days at home with flexibility on your working hours: Mon – Thurs 9 - 5.30, Fri 9 – 5, but can be flexible as stated.
