Your new company Our client is a leading Tier 1 main contractor in the Irish construction industry. They are now seeking to recruit a Project Manager & Site Manager for a large project in the east Galway region. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a major project offering long-term opportunities' region. You will join a highly respected company with a track record of delivering excellent results across a variety of construction and civil engineering projects and supporting its people through many professional development initiatives. You will be working on a large construction project overseeing the external / civil works. Experience of working on large pharma / data centre / industrial projects would be an advantage. Experience of civil / external works would be an advantage. You will need:As Site Manager / Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:Ensure the client’s expectations are met by delivering a quality product to the end user while fostering professional and amicable relations with design teams and client representatives.Maintain the highest standards of health & safety, quality and client service / ensuring that contracts are completed safely, per programme, on budget and snag free.Report progress accurately and in a timely fashion to your manager.Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring their work is completed to the required standard with little or no rework.Plan, co-ordinate, execute the works and deliver the project as per contract documents.Maintain excellent working relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors and supply chain.Resource and schedule work in line with the project construction program.Work closely with the project QS, advising on any upcoming issues.Must have experience in either a trade or technical backgroundExperience working with a top 20 main contractorA track record of delivering multi-million projects that demand an exceptionally high quality of finishExcellent organisation and time management skills are essential.A good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation is needed.Stable employment history (permanent or long-term contract).Experience drawing up reports in relation to progress and resolving any issues that may occurWhat you'll get in returnOpportunity to work on a high-profile project and join a top-tier main contractor with an extensive list of projects in the west of Ireland / midlands region.Excellent remuneration will be offered to the successful applicant.
