We have a superb opportunity for Senior Logistics Supervisor with Clare based multinational client. Position will report to European Logistics Manager and will be offered as full time permanent on site position, with very attractive package on offer for the right candidate.
Scope of Position: Leading the onsite Logistics team; coaching, developing & enhancing their skills & potential, Inventory & workflow management for all raw material and finished goods, Execution of accurate & timely cycle counts, proactive Internal & External customer communications.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead, guide, coach, and coordinate the onsite Logistics team, evolving both individual and team performance. Manage the team’s HR requirements, including team recruitment, annual performance reviews and employee training. Plan the organization of the team’s workload, taking into account absences and job rotation across all workstations. Anticipate and define human, financial, and technical needs in conjunction with site management. Supervise the logistics and storage of inbound / outbound flows for both raw materials and finished goods. Organize, plan, and execute inventory cycle counts as per schedule approved by Finance team. Liaise with internal Planning team to ensure fulfilment of planned shipments aligning to weekly targets. Ensure all orders are dispatched according to scheduled ship dates, with customer delivery times being met. Liaise with internal Sales teams on any receiving, shipping, inventory or documentation issues that may arise. Learn, follow and ultimately evolve company’s chosen freight routes to ensure that the collection and delivery of product, both to/from external customers and also between our internal US and Asia sites, is executed efficiently and cost-effectively. Ensure the Logistics team operate at all times in accordance with prevailing safety regulations in the Health and Safety Manual.Strategic Focus Areas:
Maintain ongoing relationships with inbound/outbound freight suppliers, negotiating best-in-class freight rates on each shipping flow as required. Understand the imposition of global Trade Tariffs, reporting data on their impact to the relevant internal Business Units.Requirements / Essential Skills / Attributes:

Previous experience of managing teams in a similar fast-moving environment. Highest level of attention to detail and accurate processing of data; requires a high degree of numerical competency. Previous experience of managing relatable inventory transactions in an ERP system. Fluency in spoken and written English. Excellent PC skills with advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Previous experience of international trade flows, related Customs procedures and a deep understanding of Incoterms. Ability to demonstrate creative thinking to solve new logistics challenges as they arise.Desirable skills:
Previous working knowledge of ERP systems (lot management, inventory moves, pick pack ship function, etc). An understanding of the base principles for application of Sales Tax and Import Tax (essentially VAT) on global shipments.Core attributes:
