Social Care Worker - Children's Residential Care
Location: On site, Boyle, Co. Roscommon
Job type: Temporary / Full-time
Currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Social Care Worker to join our client's team based in a children's residential unit in Boyle, Co. Roscommon.
The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care for children in residential care. Our client is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children who require a safe and supportive environment to grow and develop.
Key duties:
Providing direct care and support to children in residential care.Building strong relationships with children, families, and other stakeholdersCreating a safe and nurturing environment for childrenEncouraging and supporting children to achieve their goals and aspirationsMaintaining accurate and up-to-date records on each child's progressParticipating in team meetings and contributing to the development of care plansEnsuring that all policies and procedures are always adhered toEssential criteria:
Relevant qualification in social care or equivalent.(Social Care Level 7/8, Level 8 in Psychology Level 7 in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Level 7 in Counselling Professional qualification in: Youth and Community Work Social Work Social Sciences Teaching; Nursing Addiction studies where appropriate)
Experience working with children in residential care. (Preferential but not essential)Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skillsWillingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings-
