An accountancy practice is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing for multiple clients, ensuring compliance with Irish tax regulations and employment laws. This role requires strong attention to detail, client advisory skills, and the ability to handle high-volume payrolls in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for multiple clients.
- Ensure compliance with PAYE, USC, PRSI, and statutory payments.
- Handle new hires, terminations, bonuses, and salary adjustments.
- Submit payroll taxes to Revenue via ROS and prepare year-end filings.
- Advise clients on payroll legislation, pension schemes, and best practices.
- Maintain payroll software and identify process improvements.
- Minimum 2 years’ payroll experience, ideally in a practice or payroll bureau.
- Strong knowledge of Irish payroll legislation and tax requirements.
- Proficiency in payroll software (BrightPay, Sage, Thesaurus, or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong client communication and problem-solving skills.
