Overview

eir evo talent are currently seeking applicants for a Senior Wintel Administrator. This is a 12month daily rate contract position located in Dublin City Centre. This is a hybrid role. 

Role Overview
Seeking a Senior Wintel Administrator with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience. The role of the IT Systems Administration & Infrastructure Support Team is to actively contribute to the effective delivery of the agreed outputs of the ICT Division
 

Qualifications (Mandatory)

Relevant industry certifications are a must, one or more of the following: Microsoft certification, Azure Certification, VMware certification, Veeam certification.

AND

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent in a related field and/or proven experience in the administration field.


Key Responsibilities

Support the design and troubleshooting of Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP and other Windows core services. Knowledge of SCCM and understanding of deploying and managing devices in an enterprise network. The candidate will work closely with network, application, and middleware teams to support Windows based product installations, customizations, and deployments. Virtual Environment Administration and Management (VMware administration) including creation, configuration and resource allocation management. Physical Server and SAN Storage Monitoring and Management (DELL). Experience in managing Veeam Backup & Recovery Suite. Coordinate capacity planning and analyse information concerning job-processing time, hardware/software utilization, CPU/Memory loads, and system tuning. Assist the SharePoint Administrators and Network Administrators in developing and implementing plans for new enterprise applications. Assist our Microsoft team as we continue to move from on-prem solutions to cloud. Assist Citrix Administrator in maintaining a large on-prem farm. Analysing system, server, application, network, and input/output device performance. Providing guidance to junior members of the team. Familiarity with scripting technologies such as PowerShell is required. Provide necessary instruction and documentation for change requests. Participate in Business Continuity Planning and Exercises as needed

 

Experience Required

Strong experience with Windows server system administration. Strong experience with system management tools, logical file systems, and client/server environments. Experience administering Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, File Servers and IIS. Experience in the following areas: Patch Management, AntiVirus, Clustering, OS upgrades, Computer Security and System Monitoring. Experience implementing, maintaining and administering SCCM. Experience upgrading server operating systems, imaging, configuration management, security certificate installs and renewals. Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware in a networked environment (VMware and Dell). Experience building, configuring, and managing Microsoft Windows servers in multi-tenant enterprise environments. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex incidents in order to proactively prevent business impacts and disruptions.
