The Role

We're on the hunt for a Senior Systems Administrator to be the backbone of our tech ecosystem. Reporting to the Lead Tech Strategist, you'll be responsible for maintaining and supporting both on-premises and Azure environments. This isn't just about keeping systems running—it's about crafting a seamless, secure, and scalable infrastructure that powers the future of financial services. Based in a dynamic hub, you'll thrive in a fast-paced, tech-forward environment with the potential for hybrid flexibility post-probation.

Location: Dublin West

Work Model: Primarily office-based with hybrid options post-probation training period

On-Call: Rotational schedule (1 week in 3) with competitive compensation

What You'll Do

  • Master the Matrix: Maintain and optimize cutting-edge on-premises and Azure cloud systems to ensure peak performance.
  • Innovate Fearlessly: Research, design, and deploy next-gen systems that redefine reliability and efficiency.
  • Be the client Hero: Provide top-tier technical support to internal teams and external clients, solving complex challenges with finesse.
  • Guard the Infrastructure: Monitor infrastructure for availability, performance, and security, ensuring bulletproof operations.
  • Own the Data: Deliver sharp, actionable system health and performance reports to leadership, driving strategic decisions.

What You Bring

Core Tech powers

  • Windows Server: Mastery of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Linux Savvy: Experience with CentOS, Debian, and Bash scripting.
  • Network: Expertise in protocols, IP, routing, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Monitoring: Proficiency with tools like Nagios or PRTG or similar
  • Automation: Scripting prowess in PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI.

Azure Arsenal Wishlist (you don't need it all)

  • Virtual machine provisioning and management.
  • VNETs, NSGs, VPN Gateway, and Load Balancing expertise.
  • Key Vaults and storage solutions (Blob, File, Disk).
  • Backup and recovery mastery.
  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) know-how.
  • Azure SQL and Managed SQL Instances fluency.
  • Web Apps wizardry.
  • Azure Monitoring and Database Watchers proficiency.

Microsoft 365 Mastery

  • Administration of Microsoft 365 ecosystems.

Security & Compliance Cred

  • Knowledge of ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and NIST CSF frameworks.
  • Sharp awareness of security best practices.
