You will be responsible for the implementation of the company's safety management system, contribute to successful project delivery, and report directly to the Health and Safety Manager.

Work as part of the management team to ensure the provision of a safe and productive work environmentSeek to improve the standard of Health & Safety within the company management system and on specific sitesMonitor and enforce the implementation of the Health & Safety management systemIdentify site specific hazards and ensure they are addressed in the site documentation and on the siteEnsure the site folders and statutory records are being maintainedAssist site management to comply with statutory Health & Safety requirementsAssist Health & Safety Manager to develop and implement Risk assessments and improvements to the safe systems of workAssist Health & Safety Manager and site management to coordinate the safe systems of work for contractors and ensure strict adherence to site rulesEnforce site specific disciplinary proceduresConduct Health & Safety auditing on site and address non-conformancesComplete accident and incident investigationsIdentify training needs on site for personnel and the contractorsWhat you will need to succeed:
Minimum of 4 years' experience in in managing safety systems in constructionRelevant qualification in Occupational Health and SafetyAble to manage Health and Safety on-site using their own initiative within the scope of the management systemStrong relationship builder and ability to leverage key relationships across the full spectrum of project stakeholders and statutory bodiesExperience in managing risk and implementing control measuresAble to work and build strong relationships with contractors from various backgrounds and tradesAbility to chair and deliver Health and Safety meetings and presentationsDesirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):
