Rethink Ireland is recruiting for a part-time Financial Accountant.
Contract: 2 Year Fixed Term Contract - Part Time (18.75 hours per week)
Based: Dublin, Cork or Galway

We are seeking a part-time Financial Accountant with excellent knowledge of accounting standards and processes to join our fast-paced and growing Finance team. We are looking for applicants with relevant financial accounting experience and expertise, and with the required professional/educational qualifications.
The responsibilities of this role will be shared across a team of two part-time Financial Accountants working collaboratively.
ROLE PURPOSE
The purpose of this role is to provide timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis, while also providing support both within the Finance Department of Rethink Ireland and to other departments in the organisation.
JOB DESCRIPTION
You will perform a broad range of financial accounting, external reporting and governance, compliance and risk management duties, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.
JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
Prepare the annual financial statements and provide support to the production of the Annual Report Liaise with the auditors on the completion of the annual external audit Lead the preparation of the monthly management accounts and commentary Prepare the quarterly cash flow and net income projections, including scenario planning to help drive business decisions Support the annual budgeting process working closely with business unit managers Maintain the shared cost allocation documentation and model and monitor cost allocations to funds Provide support to internal stakeholders to carry out various due diligence procedures prior to fund start and ensure regulatory, statutory and donor compliance throughout a fund life Analyse management and financial data to produce regular and ad hoc reports accurately for internal and external stakeholders Finance lead on organisational, operational and fund projects as may arise from time to time Reconcile key general ledger & balance sheet accounts Provide support with banking administration and the payments processes. Lead the maintenance of Accounts IQ Support the automation and digitalisation of transactions and processes. Improve internal control to benefit the business operations and efficiencies Provide support on risk management and governance in the organisation Support day to day financial activities and other duties as required Adhere to all policies procedures Provide cover within the finance team as required Act as an ambassador for Rethink Ireland at all times.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You have a professional accounting qualification or a relevant degree with at least 4 years financial accounting experience You are able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines You enjoy a fast-paced environment, work well as part of a team and have good collaborative skills. You have the ability to analyse, evaluate, form independent judgments and think creatively. You have the ability to self-direct and manage projects, interact and build relationships across the organisation at different levels of seniority You have the ability to manage concurrent and time-sensitive projects and to drive short- and long-term initiatives You have exceptional communication, writing and interpersonal skills You have a commitment to excellence and close attention to detail You have experience in preparing and reporting financial statements You demonstrate the highest levels of integrity You are passionate about making Ireland a better place and are committed to Rethink Ireland’s mission and values.DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience of working in the not for profit sector. Experience in the use of Accounts IQ accounting software (or similar). Experience with Microsoft 365 products (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams etc.).
