Opportunity: Working as a Consultant in Geriatric Medicine within the HSE (Ireland's public health system) you'll provide high-quality care to patients in the Geriatric unit department at this leading teaching hospital in County Limerick. Where possible, the post holder will participate with academic and clinical colleagues to enhance the hospital's research activities within the research governance framework. This role is not a substantive post but will be a 1-year contract with a view to going permanent. It provides a comprehensive range of acute and specialist services to patients across the Mid-West region of Ireland. Basic Salary scale between € 233,527- € 280,513 in accordance with the HSE 2023 Consultant contract Up to €20,000 on call Full comprehensive relocation package on offer 30 days of annual leave 37-hour-a-week contract 10 public holidays Continuous Medical Education leave Essential Criteria Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the speciality of Geriatric Medicine. Working towards Specialist Registration of the IMC - be in place or close to completion to apply for this post.
