Head of Finance - Not-for-Profit Sector

An established not-for-profit organisation is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance to lead its finance function across multiple service centres nationwide. This is a senior leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Board of Management.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring financial compliance, strategic planning, and operational efficiency across the organisation's residential and day services.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the finance team across 15 service centres.Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with regulatory bodies (e.g. HSE, HIQA, Charities Regulator).Develop and implement financial policies, internal controls, and KPIs.Manage payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and insurance processes.Collaborate with external auditors and stakeholders.Support strategic initiatives and organisational change.

Requirements

Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent).Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement skills.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Teams.Experience in the not-for-profit or public sector is desirable.Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational abilities.
