Vickerstock are working in partnership with a national residential construction firm on the appointment of a Health & Safety Graduate.

This is an exciting, site-based graduate opportunity, where you will gain invaluable experience as part of a professional Health & Safety team.

In your new role:

Work as part of the construction management team to help ensure a safe and productive work environmentSupport the continuous improvement of Health & Safety standards, both within the management system and on-siteMonitor and enforce compliance with the company's Health & Safety Management SystemIdentify site-specific hazards and ensure they are captured within documentation and addressed practically on siteMaintain site folders and statutory records, ensuring they are up to date and accurateAssist site management in meeting statutory Health & Safety requirementsSupport the development and implementation of risk assessments and safe systems of workAssist with contractor compliance monitoring and coordination of safe working practicesCarry out Health & Safety site audits and support site management in addressing any non-conformancesContribute to accident and incident investigations, helping to identify root causes and corrective actionsAssist in the preparation and delivery of toolbox talks and safety communications

What you will need to succeed:

A 3rd level qualification in Health & Safety (or a related discipline)Strong analytical skills with the ability to present clear findingsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail with a methodical and accurate approachA team player with the ability to engage confidently with people at all levelsSelf-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiativeWillingness to take responsibility for designated tasks and contribute proactively to site safety

Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):

Previous work experience in a Health & Safety related role (e.g. placement or site experience)Experience delivering or contributing to training or toolbox talks
