We're looking to hire a Solutions Architect to join the Field Engineering team.
As a Solutions Architect, you will lead the evaluation, implementation, and adoption of dbt for our largest enterprise & commercial customers.
Candidates must be based in Ireland and have German fluency.
In this role, you can expect to: Become an expert in designing enterprise-grade data pipelines with dbt CloudWork hand-in-hand with sales to communicate the technical value of the dbt Labs suite of productsGuide customers through proof-of-concept implementations and facilitate trials of dbt CloudWork with engineering to deploy dbt Cloud in private clouds for enterprise clientsOwn the full customer lifecycle from pre-sale evaluation to product adoption and expansionWork with product to build and maintain the dbt Cloud enterprise roadmapBuild close relationships with our Partners (including companies like Snowflake, AWS, and Databricks) and enable them to adopt and implement dbt for their clientsBe an active member of the dbt communityWe are looking for someone who has: 4+ years of sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting in data operations, analytics, or BIA solid technical background, with experience in SQL, ETL, and data modelingA firm understanding of and ability to discuss modern data warehousing architecturesAbility to gather and translate technical and business requirements into concrete solutionsExcellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills to discuss complex topics with both technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environmentA passion for being an inclusive teammate and involved member of the communityNice to haves: Prior experience working at an analytics, ETL, BI, and/or open-sourced softwareKnowledge of or prior experience with dbtExperience with Data Modeling methods such as dimensional, data vault, Kimball, 3NFExperience with traditional Enterprise ETL tooling (Informatica, Boomi, Talend)If you are excited about this role and know that you could get there, but don't have 100% of the qualifications listed above, please still apply
