Principal Duties and Responsibilities Adherence to relevant Environmental, Health & Safety related statutory provisions & legislation.Adherence to the STS HSEQ Management system.
Company is ISO accredited to 9001, 14001 & 45001.Manage the HSE team members under your control (currently one Junior HSE).Development of project specific HSE documents in conjunction with the project management team (Plans, RAMS, etc.
).Coordination of project HSE indicators.
Ensuring Monthly KPI report to the Group representative.Carry out regular site HSE audits and inspections, document results and follow up on any corrective actions.Assist or carry out accident/incident/near-miss investigation reports in a timely manner & ensure communication to project and group management.Ensure Environmental, Sustainability, Waste reduction & recycling programmes are maintained in line with company policies & procedures.Liaison with site Project Management on environmental, health & safety issues.Ensure that best practices in HSE are promoted & maintained at all times.Ensure records of statutory inspections are available for project activities.Adopt a proactive approach to project HSE requirements.Ensure the project supply chain is prequalified, monitored & adheres to project HSE policies & procedures.Ensure that STS site induction & training is coordinated, managed & maintained.Project PPE is resourced & available.Ensure HSE meetings are organised and minutes are retained.Liaise with relevant third parties such as Client & CMT representatives.Selection Criteria / Person Specification: Proficient in English both written & spoken.Relevant third level qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety.5+ years experience as a HSE Lead or Senior HSE Person on construction sites.Thorough knowledge of current HSE related legislation & regulations for Ireland.Ability to efficiently manage all HSE issues on the project you have responsibility for.Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead a team.Electrical or Engineering background or have worked for M&E companies.Previous experience of working on Pharmaceutical projects.Remuneration Excellent package on offer for the right person in line with qualifications and experience.Note: applicants must be eligible to work in Ireland.
