Job Description: Infrastructure Automation Engineer IBM Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing infrastructure automation solutions, ensuring the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our systems.
The ideal candidate is an expert in automation tools like Ansible, has experience with both Windows and Linux systems, and is familiar with managing containerized environments.
Key Responsibilities: Manage, maintain, and optimize Windows and Linux server environments.
Deploy and manage containerized services, ensuring smooth operation and scalability.
Develop and maintain infrastructure automation scripts and playbooks using Ansible and Chef (required).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement automation solutions that meet organizational requirements.
Monitor infrastructure performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal system functionality.
Document processes, configurations, and best practices to enhance operational transparency.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in automation and infrastructure management.
Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience managing Windows and Linux systems in a production environment.
Expertise in deploying and managing containerized services (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong knowledge of Ansible for infrastructure automation; familiarity with Chef is a plus.
Solid understanding of configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Understanding of networking concepts and infrastructure security.
