We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Sales to lead our fast-growing Klaviyo Sales organization in Southern and Central Europe. This role reports directly to our VP of EMEA Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and guide the team through all SMB initiatives in Southern and Central Europe, shaping strategy from a long-term perspective to daily practical improvement.
- Hire best-in-class talent across the SMB team, coach and develop a team of managers, and collaborate closely with colleagues across the business.
- Accurately forecast and model monthly, quarterly, and annual sales, thoroughly planning careers for future sales professionals at Klaviyo in EMEA.
- Create customer-centric strategies to optimize the customer journey and continuously improve Performance Per Revenue (PPR) by shortening the sales cycle, improving the win rate, or increasing Average Sale Prices (ASPs).
- Introduce new tools and processes into the workflow, optimizing existing tools and playbooks, and helping the team adapt to change and adhere to best practices.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- As a leader, you will set the tone for team morale, ensuring people feel energized by their work and maintain high performance standards.
- Regularly conduct tactical and developmental 1:1's with your team of managers, setting both quantitative and qualitative goals and targets for the team.
- Focus on delivering remarkable work, learning how to do it faster, more frugally, and efficiently without compromising quality.
Leadership and Operations:
- Provide thought leadership and strategic direction on our SMB segment within Southern and Central Europe, working closely with the sales leadership team.
- Collaborate radically across functions, particularly ops and enablement, marketing, partnerships, and success both in EMEA and the US.
- Inspire and coach AE Managers and AEs to fulfill their potential, serving as a foundation for future generations of Klaviyos.
Data Analysis and Customer-Centricity:
- Understand and compile data to support your strategic direction for the team, using both external market data and internal tracking team activity and impact.
- Clearly and concisely communicate key trends in data to peers and stakeholders, assessing and introducing new tools and processes into the workflow, managing change for success.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven second-line management experience at a rapidly scaling technology business, preferably within MarTech SaaS, with minimum 1+ years leading Sales Managers with their own IC reports.
- Show a growth mindset for yourself and your team, defining yourself as an energetic self-starter who is results-oriented and effective in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Possess a global perspective with proven success in developing and/or nurturing a sales progression program, a proven playbook for hiring and developing entry-level Account Executives to Senior ICs and Sales Managers.
- Strong coaching skills and a growth mindset that comes from a deep belief in team development.
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, track record of using data to inform decision-making, and implementing successful new programs.
