Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin's attractions and brands on a global scale, we are looking for a Finance Programme Manager to join our Group Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term basis.
The role will be based at our Finance Hub in Basingstoke, with a hybrid element for those looking for more flexibility.
European travel will be a big part of this role to support local finance teams.
As our Finance Programme Manager, you will take charge of a high-impact project, overseeing the end-to-end migration of finance operations from legacy systems to our new ERP platform.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders, and external partners to ensure a smooth and efficient transition, aligning financial processes with our business goals.
What you'll doERP Transition Leadership – Drive the global rollout of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, ensuring seamless integration and minimal business disruption.Data Migration & Integration – Oversee accurate and secure migration of financial data, ensuring compliance and integrity.Change Management – Develop and implement strategies to support adoption, providing training and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Project & Stakeholder Management – Collaborate with C-suite executives, finance leaders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure transformation success.Risk & Issue Mitigation – Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and challenges to keep the program on track.Process Optimization – Identify opportunities to improve financial workflows and enhance finance's role as a strategic business partner.Qualifications & ExperienceExtensive experience leading large-scale finance ERP transition programs, ideally within a global organisation.Relevant qualifications in finance, business administration or a related field (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).Proven expertise in ERP system implementation and optimisation, particularly with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.Strong background in finance operations and business partnering, with a track record of driving process improvements.Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior leadership across business units.A solid understanding of financial reporting, planning and forecasting, with the ability to enhance these processes through system and operational improvements.Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, with a focus on risk management, change management and successful delivery.Experience in managing relationships with external vendors and third-party partners.A strong understanding of global finance regulations and compliance standards.Proven ability to develop and execute finance transformation strategies, aligning with business goals, and improving financial processes through ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate senior stakeholders, cross-functional teams and handle complex, multi-workstream programs with multiple priorities and deadlines.Deep understanding of finance operations and business processes, with expertise in leading organisational change and ensuring smooth transitions to new systems and processes.Excellent communication skills to articulate complex ideas, influence decisions and build strong relationships with senior leadership, finance teams, IT departments and external vendors.Strong financial acumen to enhance forecasting, reporting, and analysis, with proficiency in a European language (ideally German) as an advantage.BenefitsWe're growing fast and alongside a fun and friendly environment, we offer a fabulous package and amazing prospects – ideal if you're already fantastic and want to become even better (our magic can help here).
