What are the duties of a Catering Assistant?
Washing cutlery, utensils, and cookware and ensuring the kitchen staff has constant access.
Possibility of assisting chefs with basic food preparation.
Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and surrounding areas Ensuring HACCP standards are maintained.
Using tills and providing customer service.
Cleaning and sanitising all areas that are used for meal preparation.
This could include grills, ovens, sinks and stoves.
What are the Requirements of a Catering Assistant?
Manual Handling and HACCP training (can be provided).
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is desirable (but not essential).
Must be able to work in a prompt fashion under pressure.
Work well as part of a team.
