HIPE Coder (Hospital In-Patient Enquiry) (Permanent | 21 hours per week | Clerical Officer Grade V) Applicants should:

· Hold a comparable and relevant third level qualification of at least level 6 on the National Qualifications Framework maintained by Qualifications and Quality Ireland, (QQI)

· Have evidence of experience in medical terminology and patient charts.

· Display knowledge of the importance of HIPE and Activity Based Funding.

· Experience of clinical coding in ICD-10 desirable

· Understand the total healthcare delivery system.

· Proven IT skills

· Have excellent interpersonal skills and proven written and verbal communication abilities.

· Have proven organisational skills and attention to detail.

· Have the ability to work on own initiative, prioritise and manage a number of issues simultaneously and demonstrate attention to detail.
