Great National South Court Hotel in Raheen, Limerick has a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Operations Manager to join their exceptional and expanding team and oversee the daily operations of a busy hotel in particular the food & beverage operations at senior level.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the management team to ensure the smooth running of the hotel's bars, restaurants, meeting rooms, and function areas, focusing on delivering excellent service and driving revenue and profit growth.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry, previous food and beverage experience, and strong leadership and organisational skills.
Ideally having a minimum of five years' experience, you will also be hands on to motivate and manage a team, maintaining high service standards, and overseeing the overall guest experience throughout the hotel.We are proudly certified as a Great Place to Work since November 2022 for the third year running and have been certified as an Outstanding Employer for 2024 as part of Failte Ireland's Employer Excellence Program.
We offer structured programs for growth and career advancement through our Great National Gateways Academy as we consider our employees to be our greatest asset.If you are looking to progress to the next step of your career, we would love to hear from you.The key responsibilities of this role are:Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Hotel with a focus on Food & Beverage outlets, front office and room service operations.Work closely with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and front desk, to ensure a seamless guest experience.Monitor inventory levels, ordering and stock control to ensure optimal supply levels.Using your food and beverage knowledge/experience to inspire the team to deliver excellent service consistently and ensure a culture of improvement and best practices.Employee motivation and development, ensuring the team are well trained and motivated to perform.Ensuring the overall success of the hotel by maximising revenue and profit through a focus on sales and management of costs.Participation in planning and delivery of marketing initiatives including social media and implementation of robust business processes.Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including food handling procedures and staff trainingAssisting with Staff rota for the bar and functions.Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service and resolve any issues or complaints promptly.Qualifications & Skills:Minimum 5 years+ hands-on management experience with a strong background in food & Beverage operations..A genuine focus on exceptional customer care and the ability to ensure service standards are delivered consistently.Ability and interest in motivating, developing and leading a team of employees to deliver on and exceed customer expectations.Good time management and flexibility to work early mornings, evenings and weekends depending on the needs of the business.Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and adapt to changing circumstances.Must be available to work evenings and weekends.Excellent level of English both verbal & written.What we can offer you:Weekly PayCompany funded educational programmesShape your career path with us
