What's exciting about the role We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Global Indirect Tax Manager to join the team to support our Merchant of Record business operations.
This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team to help scale the global operations of the company.

Key responsibilities Manage all local and indirect tax needs, supporting the business team in new Merchant on-boarding and ensuring the indirect tax compliance for the company.
Manage the 3rd party preparation and filing of the company's sales & use tax, VAT/GST/DST and other indirect tax returns, 1099s and similar regimes.
Handle monthly sales tax accruals and month end reconciliations.
Oversee tax audits responding to auditors' requests in a timely manner and defending the company's tax positions through technical research.
Research and keep abreast of new tax developments that will provide valuable insight in making decisions for business partners throughout the organization.
Work with internal and third-party providers to ensure accurate tax calculation, invoicing, and collection of transaction taxes.
Review and update tax product mapping and tax engine as required to ensure accurate tax calculation.
Develop and create updated processes related to the maintenance of state registrations, customer exemption certificates, and reseller exemption certificates leveraging available technology software.
Interface with other areas of the finance team, business partners throughout the organization, and external advisors to work through indirect tax and local tax matters and implement best in class indirect tax practices.
Assist in the development of tax policy at the company through technical research and drafting internal policy position statements.
Assisting and providing support to other areas of the tax department such as global indirect tax/VAT, property tax, direct tax, and transfer pricing as needed.
Provide Tax Technology assistance (e.g., tax product mapping, e-invoicing solutions) with the support of IT and Financial Operations.
Skills and Experience we desire Minimum of 5-7 years of experience managing global indirect tax compliance (e.g., VAT/GST/DST, U.S.
Sales Tax) in a diverse and multinational environment.
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting, finance, economics or a related field, CPA or JD required.
Experience with Oracle preferred.
Experience with tax technology tools e.g., Alteryx, Power BI preferred.
Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Must be a quick learner and able to work independently.
