The Role The Global Head of Marketing will lead the Kerrygold Brand's marketing strategy, driving brand growth and equity across global markets.
This role requires a visionary leader who can harness the brand's heritage and innovate to meet the evolving needs of consumers worldwide.
In leading the Global Marketing Team (comprising Brand Communications, Digital Marketing, Innovation, and Insights), you will act as a thought leader and key influencer on how the Sales organization globally maximizes revenue potential and bottom-line impact by utilizing Marketing, Innovation, and Insights to help deliver the Brand's 5 Year ambition and sustain the long-term profitable growth of the business.
The Global Head of Marketing will also play a key role as a member of the Foods Division Leadership Team and in supporting the development of our long-term strategy.
Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of the Marketing Strategy for the Brand Portfolio in line with Group strategy, vision, and business objectives, sustaining Kerrygold's position as a premium brand in existing and developing markets, as well overseeing all portfolio brands (Pilgrims Choice, Forto, Beo, etc.
).Lead the brand's storytelling, leveraging the rich history of Kerrygold and its association with quality Irish dairy products.Drive brand growth and penetration in key markets, with a focus on expanding the brand's reach to new demographics, including Gen Z and younger millennials.Accelerate Ornua Foods capabilities to become a digital-first, digital marketing beacon by developing the strategy, the digital ecosystem, and the capabilities to implement a transformational journey across the markets.Lead the commercial Innovation team to support NPD and brand extensions, with a main focus on identifying, developing, and implementing breakthrough innovations.In conjunction with local business units, oversee the brand's advertising campaigns, ensuring they resonate with consumers and effectively communicate the brand's unique value proposition.Work in tandem with business unit Marketing Teams and MDs to drive strategic growth for Ornua's portfolio of brands, being recognized as a marketing thought-leader and brand champion for the business.
Collaborate closely with and influence Sales Teams to ensure delivery of brand objectives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Sales, and Finance, to ensure a cohesive approach to brand management and growth.Manage the Global Marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to drive brand performance and ROI.Oversee the analysis of market trends and consumer insights to inform strategic decisions and identify opportunities for brand expansion and innovation.Foster a culture of agility and learning within the marketing team, encouraging continuous improvement and professional development.Key Requirements Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; Master's degree preferred.Significant levels of marketing experience, including senior leadership role(s) managing an international brand of scale within the Dairy and/or FMCG/Food industry.Proven track record of developing and executing successful global marketing strategies.Strong understanding of the dairy or FMCG industry, with experience in premium brand management.Strong track record of driving brand growth with a keen understanding of the consumer mindset and the ability to articulate a clear vision for the brand.You will be a highly respected and credible individual to the commercial organization, who will be able to influence sales leaders and other stakeholders.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to inspire and lead teams.Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate insights into action.Excellent commercial and financial acumen.Successful track record of developing people and leading high-performing teams.You will need the ability to comprehend and manage in an international context with differing market dynamics.Flexibility to travel internationally.Preferably based in Dublin.Customer Focus: Advocates for the customer, balances customer and business needs, and spots opportunities for growth.Forward-Looking: Helps others to accept change, implements change, and looks ahead to anticipate change.Curious: Open to asking questions and willing to learn and continuously improve.Working Together: Encourages cooperation in own team and supports cross-functional working.CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: SUNDAY 9TH MARCH 2025
