Senior Mechanical Estimator We are currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join a leading mechanical building services contractor operating across Ireland and Europe.
This role will be based in Dublin.
This role is critical in delivering accurate, competitive estimates and driving commercial success on high value projects across sectors such as data centres, pharma, commercial and healthcare.

Responsibilities: Lead the preparation of detailed, competitive mechanical cost estimates Interpret technical drawings and specifications for accurate quantity take-offs Analyse and allocate tender documentation within the estimating team Obtain and negotiate supplier quotes to ensure best-value procurement Ensure tender submissions are complete, accurate and compliant Drive value engineering and cost optimisation strategies pre-tender Maintain and update estimating databases, cost libraries and pricing norms Collaborate with commercial, contracts and delivery teams for effective handovers Support live projects with cost tracking, budgeting and reporting Prepare and coordinate claims, variations and final accounts with PMs Attend site visits and client meetings as necessary Requirements: Proven experience in mechanical estimating, ideally in the M&E sector Relevant degree or certification preferred (QS, Building Services, etc.) Strong knowledge of HVAC, pipework, plumbing and mechanical systems Commercially aware with excellent cost analysis and negotiation skills Proficient in estimating tools (e.g. Cost X, Trimble) and Microsoft Office Strong ability to interpret technical documentation Excellent attention to detail, organisation and communication skills Trade qualification (e.g. plumbing or pipefitting) advantageous Benefits: Salary €80k - €90k DOE Company pension scheme Ongoing professional development support Company laptop and mobile phone Flexible package tailored to the right candidate If you are an Senior Mechanical Estimator who is looking for your next career move, send your CV to Kate OHerlihy or call for a confidential discussion.
