Role Purpose
The Production Manager will be responsible for the effective management and coordination of the steel manufacturing process at Shanette.
This role ensures the timely delivery of high-quality products while upholding the company's safety, cost, and productivity standards.
The Production Manager will lead a team of fabricators, and operatives, and work closely with design, procurement, and logistics functions to streamline operations.
Key Responsibilities
Production Operations
Oversee daily operations of the production floor, ensuring schedules and output targets are met.
Coordinate and supervise all activities related to steel fabrication, component assemble and finishing of steel framed buildings
Maintain strict quality control standards and ensure all output meets company specifications and ISO requirements.
People Management
Lead, mentor, and develop the production team to achieve performance targets and foster a positive work environment.
Planning and Coordination
Collaborate with design and technical teams to ensure smooth translation from drawings to production.
Coordinate with procurement for timely supply of raw materials
Liaise with logistics to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time.
Process Improvement
Maintain and update SOPs and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure full adherence to Health and Safety Authority (HSA) regulations and company safety policies.
Required Experience & Qualifications
5+ years in a production or manufacturing management role, preferably in steel fabrication or construction-related industries.
Proven experience managing teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes (e.g., cutting, CNC operations).
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
Qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
